Magic of Africa Tour – Austria

Magic connects cultures, overcomes boundaries and creates friendships. The College of Magic in Cape Town lives by these values and gives young people hope, self-confidence and new perspectives.

For several years, a close friendship has existed between Austrian magicians and the College of Magic. In 2023, Sinethemba and Sicilea visited Austria at the invitation of Jugend Eine Welt. In 2024, Sinethemba and two young artists thrilled around 400 guests from 20 countries at the Austrian Magic Convention in Bad Aussee, followed by further performances in Tyrol and Vienna.

This visit also brought the project to the attention of the Ehrlich Brothers. With a generous donation, they made the “Ehrlich Brothers Kitchen” at the College of Magic possible.

This friendship gave rise to the independent show “Magic of Africa – Ubuntu Illusions”, which will be presented at the Magic Convention in Bad Aussee in 2026 and will then tour Austria. It showcases the joy and energy of the young artists, the beauty of South Africa and the unifying power of magic.

It is an ambitious project, but one that is especially important in these challenging times.

Planning for this adventure began in April 2025.

Hierdie besoek het ook die Ehrlich Brothers se aandag op die projek gevestig. Met ’n ruim skenking het hulle die “Ehrlich Brothers Kitchen” by die College of Magic moontlik gemaak.

Uit hierdie vriendskap het die onafhanklike vertoning “Magic of Africa – Ubuntu Illusions” ontstaan. Dit word in 2026 by die towerkunskongres in Bad Aussee aangebied en gaan daarna op toer deur Oostenryk. Die vertoning wys die lewensvreugde van die jong kunstenaars, die skoonheid van Suid-Afrika en die verbindende krag van towerkuns.

Dit is ’n omvangryke projek, maar juis in hierdie onstuimige tye is dit besonder belangrik.

Die beplanning van hierdie avontuur het reeds in April 2025 begin.
